Yesterday, the 4th annual Philadelphia Improv Festival kicked off at the Plays & Players Theatre, delivering hysterical performances from some of Philadelphia's best local talent, as well as introducing our city to some up and comers from around the nation. Some of our favorite local acts are taking the stage, including Rare Bird Show, Tongue & Groove, and ComedySportz. For a full listing of all the performers, visit the Philadelphia Improv Festival's official website.

Short form, long form, whatever form the groups are taking, you can bet they will all be funny. The festival isn't only about performances though! Through out the weekend, you can treat yourself to workshops that will help you discover your talent for comedy.

You'll be able to experience the festival today through November 15th. Day passes will run you $20, and single tickets for a block of three shows are $10. You can get all the info you need on the festival at their official website, www.phif.org. I've pasted the performance schedule below. Have fun!
